What We Do

Our approach and partnership with communities strives to build a resilient and secure future for everyone.

At OWRK, we seek lasting solutions to the world’s most recurring challenges. Tackling effects of climate change and poverty, through innovative ideas—we partner with stakeholders to bring about lasting change.

We bring about the best in each community, connecting people to clean water, supporting new livelihood opportunities and relief mitigation measures— all essential to realizing the potential of people and empowering communities to flourish in the long run by improving their ability to handle change, adapt to new challenges, and weather crises.

Improving access to clean water

We implement comprehensive water projects that include borehole drilling, borehole rehabilitation, constructing earth pans, installing water storage and purification systems, and developing sustainable rainwater harvesting techniques. Consequently, we provide education on water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) is crucial to keeping communities safe.

Promoting peaceful coexistence

Resource-based conflicts and violence threaten the positive change communities work towards, and our programming makes every effort to reduce these risks. We promote peaceful coexistence by fostering collaboration among diverse community groups in shared water management initiatives. By involving all stakeholders in the planning and implementation stages, we help build trust and mutual respect. Joint water infrastructures like earth-pans encourages cooperation and reduces conflicts over resources.

Growing food solutions

We promote sustainable agricultural practices and providing training on modern farming techniques, these includes offering resources like seeds, tools, and technology to enhance productivity In times of crisis, we deliver cash aid to households so they can quickly meet their basic food needs. Additionally, we work with farmers by facilitating rain water harvesting, efficient solar irrigation techniques, and piping to improve food security.

Improving coping mechanisms during emergencies

We. provide timely, accurate climate information services and training on emergency preparedness and response. Through local support networks we water truck, cash transfers, distribute water storage cans and water purifiers, ensuring that communities have access to necessary supplies and assistance. We Implement early warning systems and promoting adaptive practices can help communities anticipate and react to emergencies more effectively.

We understand the importance of approaching each work integrally and believe in the power of simple.
